Aside from uploading your accounts using the complete address (street name, city, state, and zip code), you can also add them using lat/long coordinates. Here’s how it’s done:
1. First, have your list show at least the Account Name and Lat/Long coordinates that’s in decimal degrees format.
2. Now, log in to your account at https://sidekick.badgermapping.com/, go to Settings, and click on Import Accounts.
3. Then, choose Import Excel/CSV, click on the Upload button, select the file you want to upload and click on Open.
4. You will then select an option on how you’d like to map your accounts. In this case, choose Lat/Long from the drop-down list, click on Next, assign the Lat/Long columns to the appropriate fields, and hit Next.
5. Once this is done, you will have to assign the rest of the columns from your spreadsheet to their correct field. You will first need to assign the core fields like Account Name, Email Address, Phone Number and then you will have the option to assign the custom fields you created. Click here for a more detailed guide on how to do this, and how to finish off your upload.
And that’s it! You’ve just learned how to map your accounts using their lat/long coordinates.
Note: If you encounter any problems during the import, feel free to send your file to support@badgermapping.com, and we’d be happy to take a look at it.
