When you are on a webpage that needs updating because of new information, a bug fix, or isn’t loading, you can refresh the page. These instructions will work on any computer, iPhone/iPad, and Android devices.
→ Chrome
Best for linking all Google accounts, and best optimised for Badger Maps usage. It is stable, fast, and easy to use. Good for Chrome Extensions, which can make web browsing easier. Has some problems running Adobe’s Flash Player.
In the URL bar, there is a web address (https), a lock icon to the left, and a star icon to the right. The lock icon means it is a secure website. The star allows you to add the website to your favourites. To the left of this bar are two opposite arrows to go back to your previous page or to go forward, and a circle with an arrow. Click the circle with an arrow to refresh the page. A small X will appear, but will go back to the circle when the webpage is loaded. If you want to stop refreshing the page, simply click on the X.
You can also click on the URL (like you were going to type something new) and hit enter.
→ Internet Explorer
PC’s default browser. Mainly the top choice of businesses as some pages tend to run better, and include extensions that have to be downloaded in other browsers. New updates available and is good for basic browsing.
In the URL bar, there is a web address (https). To the left of this bar is a back arrow to go to the last webpage you were on, and a front arrow to go forward. To refresh the page, click the circle with an arrow to the right of the URL box. A small X will appear, but will go back to the circle when the webpage is loaded. If you want to stop refreshing the page, simply click on the X.

Mac’s default browser. Simple, clean, easy to use. Good for basic browsing and as an alternative to Chrome, especially when Chrome runs into browsing issues.

Easy to use, reliable, good for add-ons. New updates and new look mean that Firefox is running better than in the past.
